I'm now officially a Mrs.

It is official! I am now a married woman! David & I have been married for a little over 3 weeks now. After 6 1/2 years of dating I'm now a Mrs.

Things are also really changing at work. I received a promotion into a management role and will have my first direct report starting under me tomorrow! Last week I was able to travel to San Francisco for a conference to visit one of our largest partners. We attended this house party at an amazing home near Fisherman's Wharf. The home had great views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and the Bay Bridge.

I was also invited to go back to Chicago in June for another conference. I love the travel aspect of my role. It is just enough to switch it up, but not too much that I am burnt out.

I lasted about two months being Vegan after my last post. I did pack on a few pounds during the honeymoon so on Saturday I also started the Advocare 24 Day Challenge to give me a little kick start back into being healthy again.

So far I love the Pink Lemonade Spark! I was really nervous about the Fiber Drink I read some reviews on how it was nasty. I choose to go with Peaches & Cream over the Citrus flavor and it is tolerable I actually don't mind drinking it at all. Has anyone else tried Advocare products?

Workout Goals for the rest of the  Week.

Monday - Gym Floor (Machines, Cardio)
Tuesday - Hot Vinyasa Yoga
Wednesday - Spin Class
Thursday - CRT Class
Friday - Spin Class or Gym Floor (Machines, Cardio)
Saturday  - Electric Run 5k

Twinkle twinkle, little bat. How I wonder what you're at?

Hey Lovies,

I need a huge favor! I need you go to vote using Twitter, Google, Open ID or Facebook for my office! My company is having this amazing contest where we each were given a budget to decorate our offices. I went with an Alice In Wonderland theme.

The winner of the contest gets an iPad. I'm behind by 59 votes and I would really love to win. You can vote here

Below are a few pictures of my Wonderland office.

This is the main wall and my stand up desk

The side wall next to the entrance to my office has the special Barnes and Noble edition of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and also a Funko Chesire Cat.

Unbirthday party happening on the desk

The poem the caterpillar recites in the Disney movie which I did in my messy attempt at calligraphy

Give Peas A Chance

Happy Election Day! I hope you all made it out to vote!!

I have a big announcement...I've gone Vegan!

I have been a huge animal lover all of my life. During High School and most of my college years, I was a  vegetarian. I never was Vegan because I considered that to be too "extreme."

The past few weeks David and I have been making our home more eco-friendly.

In addition to using eco-conscious cleaning solutions and detergents, We started using organic cotton reusable towels instead of wasteful paper towels. I picked up a cute giraffe set from Oh Little Rabbit Esty's store. They have adorable designs. I can't wait to order more sets to mix and match.

I started looking into more organic make-up and brushes. I am now using Juice Beauty makeup and EcoTools brushes. I love both brands! The makeup is so natural looking. The foundation has a light natural citrus smell instead of fake chemicals. My skin is super soft and my complexion is glowing! I plan to do a full review post on all the products in the future. I'm also looking forward to start using Juice Beauty's skincare products as well.

These products lead me to Alicia Silverstone's website The Kind Life . After browsing Alicia's site, I decided to pick up her book The Kind Diet.  I quickly realized being Vegan isn't really as extreme as I previously thought. I recommend everyone do a bit of research into how awful the meat and dairy industries are for your body and the environment! In today's market, there are so many yummy and healthy alternatives. I ended up also buying a hardcopy of this book.  I wanted easy access in my kitchen to prepare my new delicious Vegan meals.

I also recently watched the documentary Forks Over Knives on Netflix. It was really eye opening and also convinced David to mainly eat Vegan with me as well.

A few other changes that I've made is switching my Birchbox subscription in favor of Goodebox. Goodebox provides trial sized healthy, eco-sensitive, innovative & effective beauty and personal care products, along with samples of natural and organic health and wellness products as well as occasional sustainable living goods.

I also joined another subscription service from Vegan Cuts Snack Box to try new tasty treats and expand knowledge of Vegan brands.

I also decided to retire my Alexander Wang Rocco made with calf hair in favor of Vegan brand Matt & Nat. I'm waiting on my new bag and wallet to arrive on my doorstep. I can't wait to share them with you all.

Be on the lookout for future posts as I review all my new Vegan products!

Do I have any Vegan readers out there? I would love to hear about your experiences and favorite products you love as well!

'Yeah, I hope not sporadically"

Hello Blog World!

I'm still here and think about my blog and readers all the time! Unfortunately, life has just be CRAZY!!

I am completely and utterly in love my job! I'm getting to do so many things I never imagined would be possible in my career. It is so nice and refreshing to be working for a start-up that is successful and not about to go bankrupt and fail.

I have been able to travel to a tradeshow in Chicago for work. Gorgeous view from my hotel when I attended the conference.

My company has doubled tripled in size since I started! It is crazy to think I was the 3rd employee (5th counting my two bosses) to be hired for this incredible company. I really feel like I'm apart of something really big and exciting! While doing my normal work duties, I have also been helping my bosses plan and decorate for our new larger office space that we will soon be moving in after only 6 months of being in our current office.
Between planning my Wedding March 1, 2013, Zumba classes and work, this has not left me much time for blogging. I don't want to give it up. I have "met" so may incredible friends though blogging I can't just let it go!

Even though my updates may be sporadic "shout out Clueless" I hope y'all continue to read!

xoxo

David turned the big 3-0!

David, my fiance, turned 30 on Saturday. We went out to Sullivan's Steakhouse to celebrate.

Overall the food was good but the service was AWFUL. I made the reservation at least two weeks in advance and did let them know we would be celebrating a birthday. We got stuck in a corner booth by the kitchen with waitress who did not even take the time to ask us how we were doing or anything just went straight into what do you want to order. I had to ask for the candle on David's dessert.

Here we are in our awkward booth by the kitchen.

We started off our meal with each a crab cake and oyster rockefeller.

For entrees, I choose scallops and David had filet mignon topped with crab meat. We split mac and cheese for a side. Not pictured are our bisque and salads.

After dinner, we headed to the W Hotel on meet up with friends for drinks.

Overall we had a great time and did not let a crummy waitress put a damper on our evening.

Now I'm off to start working for the day. I also need to start mentally preparing myself for Cinco De Mayo celebrations this weekend!

SXSW and deets on the new job

This past weekened was the start of SXSW

We only made it out for Sunday because of the rain. We made our way to a few pop-up booths that were set up downtown.

We unfortunately did not have badges and were just going to free events. I was on a mission to try to meet Seth MacFarlane who had a session at SXSW that I would have LOVED to attend. No luck :(

The last party we attended for the day was the Glomper Party.

Where we scored a Swag bag full of cool stuff!

I decided to take a risk on another start-up!! I start Wednesday with an Austin based start-up as the Customer Success Manager. I will be in charge of product knowledge and social media. I will no longer be working from home, but I am very happy to be in another start-up environment. I will be the 5th hire for company so it is in the very early stages.

I am off to enjoy my last two days of being home and I need to start preparing my outfits for this weekend. We have friends coming in town and will be attending a good amount of SXSW's music parties as well as being in the audience for a taping of America's Got Talent.

Valentine's (Early) Dinner and well that didn't last long..

We had a great dinner at Melting Pot. They were completely booked on Valentines Day. I really wanted to eat there so we decided on the Saturday before.

The first course was Champagne Swiss fondue with apples, bread and veggies to dip (I forgot to get a good picture)

Second course was a Strawberry Fields salad

Main Course was Lobster, Shrimp, Chicken, Filet Mignon and Ravioli.

Desert was White Chocolate Creme Brulee fondue

I sipped on Martinis all night made with Godiva and Ice Cream.

So remember when I announced how excited I was to start working from home and everything was going great. Well I just found out my current company will be closing. I am officially unemployed yet again. This is the second time that a company I'm working for loses funding. I'm worried that my resume will reflect job hopping when that is not the case at all. I would have loved to stay at my current company for years had this not happened. Fingers crossed I find a new great position soon!
