The time finally happened. Today Aly had her heart transplant. They took her in around 11 a.m. the heart was brought to the hospital at 1, it was inserted she was left open for 2 hours to be sure the transplant took then was closed up. She is now doing well and breathing on her own! You can read her story and see a news video here . I urge you all if you do not already please have noted to donate your organs when you pass! If it would not be for someone out there my little cousin had 2 weeks left to live, it was to the point she could no longer even wait at home for a new heart she was admitted to the hospital last week basically to die there if she had not received a match soon.
On a lighter night David & I attended a wine tasting class tonight. We tasted Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec, Shiraz, and Tawny Port. I did not care for the Souvignon Blanc nor the Tawny Port. But I loved the Malbec which is a surprise considering I am not a red wine kind of girl! I love my Pinot Grigo.

Thats amazing. SO glad she's doing well! Have you read "Change of Heart" by Jodi Piccoult?? I loved it! It's about a young girl (same age I think!) that needs a heart transplant.
I think I need a wine tasting class. I Want to like it, and juuust don't. I feel like it's a "classy" drink though, so I should like it. Maybe that would do the trick ;)
Thanks! I will def check out that book! I love finding new stuff to read!
I love wine!! Pinot Grigo would be my suggestion to start! I really don't know much about it... yea we basically went to the class for free drinks LOL
