Gumbo kind of weekend

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I know I did!

It started Saturday morning with an early morning run in the cold. I was on a health kick, I even had a healthy breakfast; oatmeal made with skim milk topped with a sliced banana, a small handful of walnuts all drizzled with a tablespoon of Texas made Honey. I was inspired to eat right and work out hard. Then......David decided for lunch we should have Thai and my health went out the window. We went to a place where David goes to for lunch a lot with his coworkers called Titaya's Thai Cuisine . It was my first Thai experience and I loved it not only was the food amazing; I had a Thai Iced Tea, Spring Roll, and Beef Pad Thai, but the service was great too. Our waitress was so nice and attentive! I was really impressed!

When we were done stuffing ourselves with Thai food we headed to the Round Rock Outlets . We initially went there for the Nike & Addias outlet to buy cheap work out clothes. I could not resist going to the J. Crew outlet where I picked up a cardigan at 50% off, shirt and sandals for 30% off. Steal!

After shopping we head to the movies to see Taken! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I thought it was a great movie and I'm glad we saw it. David & I really had no desire to see the movie we just didn't know what else to pick from and was in the mood for a movie. It turned out to be one of the best movies I have seen in awhile!

Sunday we did not make kite festival it was in the 30s and way too cold for me. I took my workout inside to the gym, caught up with Tivo and cooked a Shrimp & Sausage Gumbo with the help of a Central Market Kit.

I am proud to say Lent is going well, we survived the weekend with no Fast Food, Starbucks or It's A Grind. It was rough being at the outlets in the cold when a hot Starbucks was waiting for me in the food court, but I did not give in!

I am so jealous! I try to get Mr. Guru to move to Round Rock all the time. Enjoy Austin and everything around it because if you ever leave you will miss it!

Sounds like a fun weekend! We saw Taken too, and I agree with you - it's one of the best movies I've seen in a long time :)

How fun!! Your J. Crew shirts are super cute, and being on sale makes them even better!

I have the same problem of starting off so good in the morning, but by lunch time I just eat what I want. Ohh, I've gotta stop doing that! ha :)
