Yoga in Austin

Even though I've always been more of Pilates kind of girl...

In addition to my running and gym I want to join a Yoga studio.

I need one in North or Northwest Austin area, so that I can easily go after work and not drive too far on the weekends when I'm home.

I have narrowed down to 2 options.

Yoga Grove which offers Bikram Yoga

or

Yoga Yoga which seems to offer every class but Bikram

So to all my fellow Austinites out there which studio have you been to or heard good things about? Is there another prominent studio in North or Northwest Austin that I should know about.I need some help in deciding!

Non Austin Blog friends my question for you is should I Bikram or not?

Also Kristin at Iowa Girl Eats is holding a Pure Bar giveaway go here to enter.

My heart also goes out to one of my favorite bloggers Meghann of Graduate Meghann whose dog Abbie passed away after a bad reaction to medicine.

BIKRAM. BIKRAM. BIKRAM. I am bias since I work at a bikram stuido. But the benefits and feeling you get after a class, for me, outweigh other types of yoga I have tried. Plus the heat is much better for your muscles to stretch than in the cold. You're likely to hurt yourself more. Birkam also works the inside organs asa well as outside the body. No other yoga does this. Any questions you might have, email me : )

I go to Yogagroove & it's great! To be honest, Bikram is the only kind of yoga I've tried so I'm kind of partial...still though, as someone completely new to yoga, I've loved going to Yogagroove. The instructors are all wonderful & very helpful..especially if you're new.

They have a really great introductory offer too...a whole month of unlimited yoga for $28! Definitely worth at least checking it out for a month.

I don't know much about Austin or yoga, but I wanted to check on Kingston! My Sadie gets that sometimes, and the vet calls it Puppy Acne, puts her on an antibiotic, and voila! All clear!

One of my friends studies Bikram at Yoga Groove and she loves it. Plus, it's close to Zen and Alamo Drafthouse!

Um, I cried for Meghann!!! Poor Abbie :(

I like bikram, but, the only thing I don't like is that it's a pretty set class with the poses, etc. I like to change it up a bit.

I looooove yoga--you'll enjoy it no matter what class you take (I think)

I took it at the studio close to 45th and Guadalupe (in the Triangle) and really liked the classes! They offer every kind (I believe).

I took a class at Yoga Yoga once, and I liked it, but I was new and I never went back. So I honestly don't have much of an opinion about that place, but I know there are a lot so it's convenient. :)
