Yoga, Meteor Shower & a New Gym

My Yoga problem of where to go has been solved!

This past weekend David & I joined Lifetime Fitness ! David has been looking to join a better gym he was currently at 24 Hour Fitness and I just used my apartment complex gym which is very nice for a free gym we even have gym cards to scan in and everything but since we both had off work on Friday we took off just to run errands we took at look at Lifetime & Pure . Lifetime won because it was geared more towards luxury and spa like atmosphere which is exactly what I want in my gym.

They offer regular Yoga classes but for signing up I received a free month pass to Bikram Yoga which usually cost extra then I received a gift certificate to spend on anything so I can use it towards an additional month of more Bikram Yoga before I resort back to their regular group classes of Yoga.

I have also been meeting with a personal trainer and nutritionist there. I'll be sure to update on my progress with toning up!

Did anyone catch the meteor shower last night? I was hoping to, Kingston, the Pug woke up and wanted out of his kennel at 3 a.m. so David & I went and sat on the balcony which offers a great view of the sky to take a quick peak and saw nothing sadly I think we live in a too highly lit area to see anything.

The last time I saw a meteor shower I remember being little going to the park in my hometown with my mom laying on the back of the car and just watching, it was the coolest thing ever!

I too am rejoining the gym today after a 2 month wedding/newlywed hiatus... Wish our gyms here were as nice as the ones in the states! JEALOUS! Enjoy!

Your gym sounds awesome. We do not have any of those in Fort Worth but I believe we do in Dallas!

When it comes to nutrition I really like the website dailyplate.com. It allows you to record your food intake throughout the day and track your calories. However, I have never been to a nutritionist and I always wondered what that would be like. It will be interesting to hear about your experience with Bikram and the nutritionist!

How is Texas? My dad told me there have been some brutal showers the last few days.

Krystyn did mine at krizzydesigns.com

I'm pretty picky. She was very patient and easy to work with. Her rates were reasonable too. I highly recommend her. My entire layout only cost 75 bucks. And that's because the pug picture was more on the expensive side. What we don't do for our pugs. LOL=)

Oh how I miss having a place that offers yoga, zumba or really classes of any kind. We had a great facility in college, but here in Small Town, USA we have a local YMCA that is really small and they only offer 2 aerobics classes a day. One falls while I'm at the office and the other is like at 6:30 in the evening. Boo! Hope you like your new gym. We missed the meteor shower as well!

Yoga is a way of life, a conscious act, not a set or series of learning principles. The dexterity, grace, and poise you cultivate, as a matter of course, is the natural outcome of regular practice. You require no major effort. In fact trying hard will turn your practices into a humdrum, painful, even injurious routine and will eventually slow down your progress. Subsequently, and interestingly, the therapeutic effect of Yoga is the direct result of involving the mind totally in inspiring (breathing) the body to awaken. Yoga is probably the only form of physical activity that massages each and every one of the body’s glands and organs. This includes the prostate, a gland that seldom, if ever, gets externally stimulated in one’s whole life.
