I found these BCBGirls Pumps orginally 97.95 on sale for 35.99, I just ordered them. I need more work clothes and these shoes are perfect for work and such a steal!




This great find, combined with that fact is Friday!!! I am very happy!

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin drivers making their morning commute were in for a surprise when two road signs on a busy stretch of road were taken over by hackers. The signs near the intersection of Lamar and Martin Luther King boulevards usually warn drivers about upcoming construction, but Monday morning they warned of "zombies ahead."

Red Red Wine

Austin was under a winter storm warning from last night until this morning. With freezing temperatures and rain. I was hoping for an entire day off work. Instead I was able to come in at 9 a.m. instead of my usual 8 a.m. due to icy roads. The sun is out now and it has almost all melted.

I did discover this new cool product. Wine Wipes For all the red wine drinkers out there. Wine wipes are little sheets that come in a compact, which also includes a mirror. The wipes are also injected with a sweet orange blossom scent to freshen your teeth and your breath. Genius! No one likes purple-maroon wine teeth!





I also want to thank Dianna from What DeeDee Wants She's Gonna Get It for sending me my prize! I recently won a give away of notebooks from Carrot and Stick Press ! My notebooks arrived yesterday with a sweet note from DeeDee!

2 Movies & a Purple Mojito

David & I had a friend come in town from Dallas for the weekend. Friday night we went for dinner & drinks at The Belmont . My favorite drink there was a Purple Mojito made with Pomegranate.



The friend we had come in town was David's best friend, they have been friends for about 10 years unfortunately I could not convince the boys to go see Bride Wars, so Saturday we went to see Underworld.


Sunday after our friend left, David & I went shopping at Sun Harvest Market which is good smaller alternative to Central Market & Whole Foods, then we finally went to see Bride Wars!



I love love loved it!

The auditor ended up showing up at my office this morning, while I was the first one here! But we past the audit with flying colors. Boss is treating us to a Whole Foods lunch tomorrow!

Inauguration Day

Even though Obama was not my candidate choice, I am still excited for inaugration day and for what he can perhaps do for our country.

So in celebration, thanks to this application called Obamicon.Me I made an Obama poster of myself!

3-D

My weekend was great! I really wish I had the day off with David today :(

I had a relaxing beauty day like I planned, and David & I did dinner & a movie. We dined at Iron Cactus which is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Austin, for atmosphere. The food is good, margaritas are great and I love how the waiter makes your guacamole at the table!



We saw My Bloody Valentine 3-D, clearly David's turn to pick a movie, I really wanted to see Bride Wars. The movie was fun just for the 3-D experience but was way to slasher for my taste with gross dying scenes. I like scary movies that make me scared like ghost stories, not so much graphic scenes. But again the whole point was for the 3-D experience, which I admit was fun. The first movie I saw at the theaters in 3-D was Beowulf, so I was kind of looking forward to seeing another one.

The rest of the weekend we worked out, played around in Costco, & took Riley on walks.

Star Heels

Marc Jacobs is by far my favorite designer! I am completely in love with these Patent Star Pumps





I am going to wait and hope they go on sale, in my opinion they are little too high priced even for Marc Jacob shoe standards. So I hope the price will fall soon!


This weekend we do not have much planned. Although Austin has a lot to offer, most of the activities are outside and I am not a fan of this cold weather we are having. So I have an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed, my hair deep conditioned, manicure & pedicure. Also will fit in trips to the gym. Should be very relaxing!

David has off Monday for MLK Day, I do not. Sadly I will be back at work, no 3 day weekend for me.

King Cake & Car Pickups

My mother sent me a King Cake! There are many things I miss about New Orleans! Beignets from Cafe Du Monde, Jacques-Imos my favorite restaurant ever!, Bloody Mary's from Pat O's true you can get them anywhere but Pat O's happens to be my favorite spot for them in the city, Boutique shopping in the French Quarter on lazy Sundays, The atmosphere of my old neighborhood Uptown in the Garden District across from the bulldog & balcony bar!! and last but not least Carnival Season!

So needless to say I was thrilled to come home from work to a King Cake!



I had an interesting day. Work was good! Our office was not picked to do the audit. They choose Phoenix, Jacksonville, Dallas, & Charlotte. The stress of that has been lifted!

Coming back from lunch today, I was stopped at the last red light before returning to work. The car on my left edges up and blows the horn at me. I thought the driver was trying to get my attention to ask me to let him over, because he was in a turning lane only, I was wrong. The boy just smiled and waved at me. He gave off a creepy vibe so I quickly looked away. Then I hear the horn blown again, so I think for a second maybe I was too quickly to judge creepy vibe and he does want to get over so I look in his direction again this time, the driver & the passenger are blowing kisses at me. I get freaked out! Did I mention it was two creepy boys were driving a Mini Van!

Ikat

I had a great relaxing weekend! David & I watched movies, went to Starbucks and to the gym. I lounged around caught up on reading my issues of Shape magazine, and watched the Best Life Series of Oprah! I love! I'm also excited for the live chats she is having with Suze Orman & Dr. Berhman this coming week, while I may not be able to watch them at the exact time, I know Oprah usually has videos available on her website after they happen, so I can load them on my ipod and catch up at the gym!

Best Life Week-end

I am so excited it is Friday!
I am ready for the weekend!

David & I do not really have much planned, temperatures will be in the 30-50s all weekend. I plan to stay snuggled inside venturing out to Starbucks for Tea Lattes and to the gym!

Oprah had a special series this week, and I love Oprah! I am even subscribed to her O magazine. The special this week was entitled Best Life Series

I adore my Tivo, who records Oprah everyday for me. This weekend I plan to watch all the episodes. It will be a boost to help keep my 2009 resolutions.

And I also have to do an online course and pass a Master Exam Certification for my job, it has to be done by the 15th, so I might as well tackle that this weekend as well.

My new Obsession!

Starbucks introduced new tea lattes and I am completely obsessed with the London Fog Tea Latte It is amazing!

I received a hefty sum amount Starbucks gift card from David's mom for Christmas. I will combine that with my Starbucks gold card which gives me 10% off purchases, I am set!

Designer-her Gals

Well I received my memory card in the mail, but it was scratched so I lost all my photos from my trip home and to New Orleans for Christmas. My camera only holds 10 pictures without a memory card so I need to purchase a new one asap!

First Weekend of 2009

I am still waiting for my memory card for my new camera to be mailed back to me, I left it in NOLA over Christmas. My friend Allie put it in the mail Wednesday I hope it gets here by tomorrow so I can not only upload all my holiday pictures, but use it for the surprise trip I have planned for David this weekend!!

Other than that we do not have much planned aside from heading to Costco to use our giftcard to pick up stuff to restock our apt with food, time to stop living on leftovers!


I really can't wait to buy a house hopefully when the lease is up in September! David's coworker just purchased one, so he has been looking at real estate in the same area.
At our house I will throw garden parties and use these Bumblee Light Strings to decorate.

New Year's Resolutions

I have 3 New Years Resolutions.

1. Get More Organized, I have a wish list a mile long from the Container Store to help me accomplish this!
2. Save More, I shop a lot! I need to better budget!
3. Be More Healthy, I know a classic one, but I used to never ever touch diet coke or any junk food, but lately at work I drink one a day and visit the vending machine..not good!


I received this Mint Julep Honey Shower Gel as part of one my Christmas gifts, and I am obsessed! It is heaven! I must share!
