Chelsea Handler & a Wedding

I do apologize for this update being a week late but if you follow me on twitter texancouture then have probably read that for the last 3 weeks I have been on conference calls going to lots of important meetings my last one is on Monday morning then hopefully I can share the amazing news that has been taking up all my free time :)

Last Friday David & I went to Chelsea Handler's book signing where I met Jo Koy!

Got my book signed by Chelsea

There were so many people they didn't have time to let you take pics with Chelsea so that was kind of a bummer.

After the book signing we headed to their stand up performances.

Jo Koy was hilarious I was laughing nonstop. He was pretty amazing! Chelsea was okay basically it was jokes about her family & ex-boyfriend which I heard on the show because I watch every night and if it wasn't on the show it was written in her book. If I didn't watch her show & had not yet read the book it would have been awesome but I found her performance funny but just okay.

Saturday night our friends Michael & Sarah were married. Their wedding was held at the Gorgeous St. Mary's Cathedral

I love the architecture inside the exposed wood beams everything about the setting was gorgeous!!

The reception was held at the Sheraton on the Capital another great location!

There were around 250 guest. First there was a cocktail hour with passed hor'devours then the party moved in a ballroom for a 5 hour reception which included a sit down dinner, champagne toast, great music and a photobooth complete with accessories to dress up your photos...loved it!

After the reception we took a Trolley downtown to Sixth Lounge to continue the party.

This weekend I had to cancel my plans we had big birthday celebration planned for David. It will be moved to next weekend. I feel bad they are rearragning it all for me.
I am taking is easy recovering from strep throat which I came down with Wednesday afternoon kind of annoying because not only did we had to rearrange birthday plans with David's friends & family but I also had to reschedule the big final meeting I was supposed to have it on Thursday.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Ah! I love Chelsea Handler although I heard her stand up shows aren't that great. The book was hilarious though!
