Here a recap of what has been going on since I last posted.
I was a bridesmaid in the fabulous Future Mrs. Bun Bun's wedding.
Three days after returning from the wedding I was laid off from my job due to my company filing for bankruptcy. I scrambled to find a job fast. It was pretty much uncertain my financial future because my company filed for bankruptcy they would not be required to pay unemployment. The company was in 16-19 million in debt so my severance was only 2 days extra of pay and they also paid out my PTO that was it.
So naturally I jumped at the first job offer (I'm still in the process of doing interviews) but for the time being I'm stuck at a horrendous job just to keep the cash flow coming in.
It is only a contract job for 3 months so I have until the end of August to find a new recruiting job before I'm unemployed once again.
Right now I'm currently an Account Executive aka telemarketer calling businesses. I make 100+ calls a day talk to rude receptionists and get hung up on a lot. It is pretty awful. The only good thing is it is located in a building across from where I live so I don't really use any gas to get there. I am dreaming of the day I get a job offer to get back into recruiting. I have a few pretty good prospects that I should hear something from in the next 3 weeks!!! I just couldn't afford to be unemployed while they decide to offer me the job in case that day never comes.
So needless to say things haven't been that peachy in Texan Couture Land which has made me not in the mood for blogging.
To continue my pity party. I also dropped my iPhone today leaving my job to go to lunch. At first I was so upset I was sitting in my car crying then I started laughing because I thought to myself how can this really bad stuff one after another keep happening to me without some light at the end of the tunnel.
Ironically this iPhone situation snapped me back into reality and brought me out of the daze I have been in since being let go from my job.
Thankfully I will be getting the new 4G just in time for my birthday, July 4th.

I'm so sorry to hear about what happened with your old job! I'll say a prayer for you tonight! Something is around the corner just have a little faith and know it's all in God's plan!
Oh my goodness dear, I'm so sorry to hear about the job. I hope this current job starts treating you a bit better, too. Keep your chin up, you'll do great!
At least you'll be stylish with the 4G in a few weeks. All will work out in the end!! Yes, eat some desserts! lol
Oh Erin....when it rains, it pours!!! I hope things take a turn for the better for you! And, you're gonna love your new phone. It's not that far away.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed and saying prayers for you about the new job prospects! I'm moving soon and haven't found a job yet in the new city so I feel your pain.
Ack, so sorry things have been so rough lately! I knew that you had gotten laid off, but, I didn't know the new job was so terrible. I'm sorry! Sending hugs your way!
